Only signed up here the other day and have enjoyed reading the different things people enjoy about different shows. Having had the week since the Cardiff gig
to gather my thoughts, they are the same now as they were afterwards - not only the best gig I've seen on this tour but the best U2 show I've ever been
too. I think when you've seen them a fair few times it's the little things that tell you it's definitely a 'special' one. Saw Bad performed
twice in Dublin and Bono didn't have his gretsch for either and was doing ad libbing in it as he did in Wembley. He also had the gretsch at Wembley but was
just doing the usual air stuff, so I couldn't believe it when he played it as a proper lead just before the 'how long' refrain in Cardiff, and
there was none of that preplanned 'ad lib' stuff.

Have to say I think the Millennium Stadium is the best stadium I've ever been to. Croke is a great stadium but just felt that much...

Living in North Wales, we took the A487/A470 route which basically took us straight down to Cardiff. The journey took around 5 hours but it was well worth it.
Not much traffic at all, not even when we were hitting the West area of the M4 on entering Cardiff and we got to see some amazing views on the way down as well
as enjoying a sensational concert :-)

Having been to Croke Park, Wembley and the City of Manchester Stadiums previously, I can honestly say this was by far the best concert I've ever attended.
Perhaps, that was also due to the patriotism that the Cardiff crowd somehow inspired but the atmosphere in the Millennium Stadium was awesome. It is the same
when watching a rugby match in there and I was very impressed with the Edge's pronounciation of Cymru am Byth. Few bands respect the Cardiff audience in
the way that U2 did but whether you were Welsh, English or had travelled from further afield, the whole crowd were enthusiastic and good-natured and I have...

Dont you dare spend any money on bootlegs! Fans share such material for free as a service to each other, we don't like people on e-bay who
flog stuff that is already being willingly shared so they can profit on the back of the band's work. (Edit - ohh, sorry if that sounded a bit fierce or
pompous, wasn't meaning to start hectoring you!)

So far there is one audience audio recording that has come out (available to download from the usual locations). In terms of video a couple of sources have
been posted on line and I know of one fan who is working on pulling the various bits together into a multicam mix of the show. You'll need to be a bit
patient as these things do take time but the results can be stunning and I take my hat...

We were about 1 person from the barrier at the back of the pit slightly off centre which was a great spot until about 10 mins before u2 when some loud drunk
blokes decided to come back from the bar and shove in. After attempting to stand in front of me and being told pretty firmly to f off they decided to stand
behind me instead and as soon as u2 came on got their fat drunk friend to join them. I feel most sorry for the people who were on the rail behind us who
probably saw very little and heard even less. After jumping into me several times the fat one got a few well timed elbows to the ribs and toned it down after
that. He didn't shut up though. Hearing him shout his way through bad was pretty painful. Luckily for me I'd seen bad at croke and wembley so I
wasn't as pissed off about it as I could've been.

Hey All......This is the first time I've posted on here, but just wanted to thank all for the fantastic photos!!!!
For me, this show was awesome!!!!.....highlights were ONE and UNFORGETTABLE FIRE.....and when the whole stadium started singing "40", I was instantly
taken back to the JOSHUA TREE gig (when the millenium stadium was Cardiff Arms Park)......and as always, ONE totally blew me away!!!!
Myself and Hubby met some lovely people that day outside gate 1......there were 2 northern guys who were with us in red zone 1 (edges side), and a lovely guy
from London, who stood next to us on the barrier, and who very kindly bought us a drink......."whoever you are, we owe you a drink!!!!"
Would have been great to get the names of these guys - would have liked to keep in touch with some fellow U2 fans.
Also, have heard rumours that U2 will be returning to UK next year......Anyone know if this is true??????
Would be awsome to see them again...
