Beautiful Day is very uplifting. I was hoping they would play Achtung Baby from begining to end..... A fan can dream right? lol

To be honest, the main reason I went there was to simply have a good time seeing my favourite band. And I did. But the historical meaning of that place and surrounding usually comes to my mind when I'm in Berlin, especially with the 20th anniversary of the wall coming down. And since U2 have a history with the reunification and Berlin themselves I found it absolutely appropriate for them to play there. More than with Bon Jovi who played there as well a couple of days back, but that's just my opinion. Regarding the setlist, I found the chosen songs absolutely appropriate. I mean, the show wasn't just about our reunification anniversary, they also played for the MTV EMAs, so it was clear they had to bring something from the new record.
One was obvious and a must. Hadn't the wall come down 20 years ago i wouldn't be able to post here, to see U2 playing live whenever and wherever i want (or time and money allow me to ;-) ), i wouldn't have seen and experienced some really amazing places and things and i never would have known some of my best friends who grew up in the west, among many other things that wouldn't be possible.
So, my personal thanks to U2 for saluting this memorable day!
